Government Funding
30 hours childcare for eligible working families in England
​
For children aged 9 months to 4 years. Eligible working families can apply for 30 hours of childcare to use from the term after their child turns 9 months until they reach school age. to apply head over to 30 hours childcare - Best Start in Life.
Eligible families are able to claim 30 hours funding 38 weeks of the year.
If eligible you will receive an 11 digit code usually beginning with 5. Bring this along to your child's settling in session along with National insurance number and a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport to complete a funding declaration form. We can not claim your funding without this information.
15 hours childcare for all families in England for 3 and 4 year olds

All 3 and 4-year-olds who live in England are entitled to 15 hours of childcare to use from the term after their child turns 3, irrespective of income levels, benefit status, or family circumstances.

Important dates for 30 hour Working Families Entitlement.

Eligible working parents must apply by specific dates to access funded hours:
Autumn Term 2025 (Starts Sept): Deadline 31 August 2025.

Spring Term 2026 (Starts Jan): Deadline 31 December 2025.
Summer Term 2026 (Starts April): Deadline 31 March 2026.

Parents must reconfirm their 30-hour funding code every 3 months via their Childcare Service account to keep it valid, even if you have not started using the hours yet. HMRC sends reminders 28 days before the deadline. Failure to reconfirm can lead to losing eligibility, requiring a new application and a term-long wait.
15 hours for 2 year olds receiving support

For children aged 2 years. 15 hours early learning for families in England receiving some additional forms of support.

Funded sessions and supplement charges
Funding Information
Our nursery accepts all government-funded childcare entitlements. We offer a limited number of term‑time only places (38 weeks per year) as well as stretched funding options over the full 51 weeks that we are open.

Funded Sessions
Government-funded hours can be used within our standard session times:

Full Day (7:30am–6:00pm)
10 hours of funding -
Morning Session (7:30am–12:30pm)
5 hours of funding -
Afternoon Session (1:00pm–6:00pm)
5 hours of funding
Supplement Fees
Families using government funding may choose to opt out of any supplement charges, although terms and conditions apply.
Supplement fees only apply to children accessing funded hours.
Our standard daily rate already includes all additional extras.
Any sessions taken beyond your funded entitlement will be charged in line with our usual fee structure.
